How to start a call for video consultation by doctor via Medic?

  • Go to the EMR from the navbar and select Encounters, as highlighted below from the doctor account.

  • You can also select the Encounters directly from the dashboard, as highlighted below.

  • The medic will display the Encounter screen where the booked video consultation appointment will be displayed as queued when it is queued from the admin account.

  • The video icon is a video link, clicking on it will open a new tab in the browser window, as shown in the below image.

  • Accept the privacy policy by clicking the “I accept” button, as highlighted in the above image.
  • The below modal will appear.

  • Click the “Request Permissions” button as highlighted in the above image.
  • The below highlighted modal will appear on the screen.

  • Select the “Allow while using the site” or “Allow this time” option to allow camera and microphone access as highlighted in the below image.

  • The below modal will appear.

  • Click the “Join Meeting” button.
  • The video call will start.

  • When the patient clicks the knock button, a notification will appear as shown in the below image.

  • Click the “Let in” button, as highlighted in the below image.

  • The video call for consultation will start with the patient,, as shown below.

  • The “Picture-in Picture” option is also available, allowing the user to open the video in a small window while running an encounter. To enable it, click the “Picture-in-Picture” button, as highlighted in the below image.

  • The video will open in a small window as shown below.

  • To start the encounter, go to the Encounters screen and select the “Start Encounter” option from the Action(s) column, as highlighted in the below image.

  • The encounter will start with a video consultation, as shown below.

  • To end the call, click the leave icon button. Two options will appear as highlighted in the below image. Select any one from them according to your requirement.

  • The modal shown below will appear, displaying that the call has ended.

  • Now, end the encounter also.
