- Encounter configuration refers to the fields which are displayed in the encounter screen. Turning them on/off make those fields enable or disable on the encounter screen. The reason behind giving that option to the clinic is that some doctor doesn’t want some specific fields on their encounter screen, and for some doctors, those fields don’t make sense. For example, height doesn’t make sense for a dentist; therefore, it can be disabled for doctors who specialize in dentistry.
